Marta DE PABLOS

Take a look at some of her works

Marta de Pablos

Marta de Pablos was born in Seville in 1975. She grew up and later lived in Matalascañas, Huelva.

Bachelor of Fine Arts from UWE (University of West of England), in Bristol, England (2002). Previously, she studied at the León Ortega School of Art in Huelva, where she obtained a degree in Applied Arts, specializing in Ceramics (1988).

She works experimentally, using any medium at her disposal, such as sculpture, ceramics, installation, sound, and video art, from her studio at ConeXionarte Center (Huelva). She employs different techniques and materials, combining them with one another, using ceramics as the foundation of her form of expression. Her ambition is to take ceramics to a more conceptual level.

And that's precisely what she's done in the artistic consultancy project for hotels, in collaboration with Red House Art, at the newly renovated 5-star luxury Kimpton Los Monteros in Marbella. Marta has created a series of ceramic sculptures that explore traditions, travel, travelers, and contemporary life itself. These ten wall sculptures and one floor sculpture welcome guests to the lobby of the brand-new Costa del Sol hotel. This clear statement of intent marks the beginning of the artistic experience for hotel guests, thanks to the curatorial work of Red House Art, in collaboration with Marta and nine other artists.
